Thank you to Shopstyle and Harvey Nichols for sponsoring this post.
I spent some time earlier this week looking back at some of our past Gal Meets Glam blog posts, reliving some of our adventures and travels, reminiscing about so many wonderful memories. I also came across some work style goals I had set for myself back in 2018 – a very busy year for us, centered around finding more balance and self care between work and home life. I longed back then for more time at home, taking walks instead of long flights, enjoying leisurely dinners at home instead of take-out in the office, replacing evenings working until late with evenings enjoying our back porch, and simply spending more time together as a family. I believed in, and truly loved, working hard, but I knew that intentional rest was the only way to fuel my creativity. Wow, what an eye-opener as I fast forward to today. I realize that it is a privilege to be able to work from home now, even if under less than desirable circumstances. It has brought to fruition some of the hopes and dreams I had for our family and Gal Meets Glam.
Today, I am able to indulge in self-care every day, in little ways. Dressing the way I want to in styles that make sense. Harvey Nichols has always had luxurious, everyday pieces that are comfortable, yet true to my feminine style. Whether I’m selecting a dress, skirt, or blouse paired with cropped jeans, there is always a pair of comfy sneakers by our front door to slip on for our morning walk each day, and later, as I take a work break to ride bikes in the afternoon or evening. Simple changes have become a part of our daily life and I couldn’t be more happy. I was elated to find that Harvey Nichols carries all of my favorite sneaker brands in one place. Sharing more Harvey Nichols pieces below – styles that embrace working from home in comfort and style.
