Mario Lopez’s kids, Gia, 1o, and Dominic, 7, are apparently trying to give professional entertainment journalists out of work, and they’re so cute I’m not even mad about it. They interviewed Ryan Reynolds for his new movie, The Croods: a New Age, which comes out November 25—and I actually want to watch this movie after taking in this adorable interview.

Like any good reporters might, they also asked a couple of respectful questions about Reynolds’s private life: Gia asked if Reynolds’s three daughters, James, Inez, and Betty and his wife, Blake Lively, were the “superheroes” in his life.
“No joke, they are the most capable people I know,” Reynolds said. “If anything got crazy or scary in my life, they are the first people I would lean on because they have wisdom and strength and they’re calm under fire. They have courage under fire.”
Gia also asked what he felt about being the “ultimate girl dad,” to which the dad of three replied: “I love being a girl dad. I have three daughters, which I never in a million years would have imagined. I come from all boys. I have three older brothers. I’m the youngest of four boys so for me to have three daughters has been such a ride and I love every second of it.” He added that he and Lively have made the decision not to split up the family when they are working. “I just try to be as present as possible,” he said.
He also mentioned that he doesn’t think he could pull off his Croods‘ character’s top-knot: “I don’t feel like I could get away with that in my house if you know what I mean,” he said. “My daughters would be like, ‘No! Scissors now.'”
Earlier in the pandemic, Lively trolled her husband’s pandemic hair when she posted the image of his tiny ponytail on Instagram:
“I dare you to forget this every time you see him for the rest of eternity,” she wrote.
