The coronavirus pandemic is very much ongoing, fall is here, and much of the country has spent the last seven-plus months in quarantine. So it’s unsurprising that even street style icon Rihanna has put full-on dressing up aside. Instead, she took most people’s fall quarantine uniform of a coat and sweats and made it high-fashion. The singer was photographed leaving Giorgio Baldi in Los Angeles last night, wearing white joggers, a hoodie, and a checkered oversized coat. She added white heels and a Chanel bag to give the look at a little ritz.
When she was photographed, RiRi wasn’t wearing a mask despite L.A.’s mask mandate. It’s unclear whether she was earlier in the night and if, when the photo was taken, she was just walking to her car, socially distanced from everyone and outside minimally. She is not the only celeb who hasn’t worn a mask when leaving a restaurant though.
Rihanna was seen at Giorgio Baldi earlier this week too, wearing jeans, an open button-up shirt, and a cream teddy coat on Tuesday.
Rihanna hasn’t given many interviews this year, but she spoke to British Vogue for its March issue about how much less patient she has for toxicity anywhere in her life now. “Since I turned 32, I’m realizing life is really short,” she said. “You don’t have a lot of time to tolerate shit, you know? You put so much on your plate. When you’re overwhelmed, you need to start cutting things out. And I’m overwhelmed too much. What’s happening now is that I’m going back to black and white. My grey area is shutting down.”
