According to the organizers, the two leading international trade fairs for technical textiles, Techtextil and Texprocess, will be held at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre from 4 to 7 May 2021.
“The current situation around Covid-19 also poses challenges for Techtextil and Texprocess. Although we expect the situation to ease up to the next editions, we cannot be certain. Therefore, we are planning both events on the basis of the current hygiene and safety concept of the fair Frankfurt. The number of exhibitor registrations and the feedback from the industry are very positive. There is a great demand for personal exchange and for experiencing innovations live”, says Olaf Schmidt, vice president Textiles and Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt.
Hygiene concept and modified hall layout
Messe Frankfurt coordinates its hygiene concept with the responsible authorities. Distance and fresh air supply are important factors in this concept. In addition, a Corona Hotline under the number (+49) (0)69 / 75 75 – 6699 provides information on all trades and Messe Frankfurt’s measures for holding events during the Corona pandemic every day from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be changes to the exhibition grounds of both trade fairs. With the 2021 edition, Techtextil and Texprocess will for the first time use the West section of the exhibition entre with halls 8, 9, 11 and 12.
New: Denim Future Factory
A Denim Future Factory will be presented for the first time at Texprocess. The focus will be on the future of denim processing, with particular emphasis on sustainability and the growing luxury sector for denim products. The topic of sustainability will be expanded at both trade fairs. Additional planned features include live streaming of conference formats, new digital presentation options for exhibitors and opportunities for digital matchmaking between exhibitors and visitors.
Heimtextil for the first time parallel to Techtextil and Texprocess
In May 2021, Techtextil and Texprocess will share the fairground with the Heimtextil, the largest trade fair for home and Object Textiles. Background to the postponement of the Heimtextil are the current situation in the context of the Corona pandemic and associated international travel restrictions.
