Here are the latest news from Denim PV, Texworld Paris and Functional Fabric Fair New York…
Denim PV cancels Milan event in May; Berlin edition moves to 2022
As has been announced on its website, Denim Première Vision needs to change its plans for 2021:
The next event will be the second edition of The Digital Denim Week and will take place as a 100% digital edition on 5-9 July.
Thus, Denim PV Milano, originally scheduled to take place 25-26 May as a physical event in Milan, is canceled and will instead happen 13-14 October at Milan’s Superstudiopiù, both as a physical and digital event.
The premiere of Denim PV Berlin will be postponed one more time: initially scheduled 16-17 November 2021, it will now run 17-18 May 2022 at Arena Berlin, also as a hybrid event.
Texworld Paris repeats showroom concept
From July 5-9, Texworld Paris repeats its condensed ‘Texworld Evolution – Le Showroom’ concept which premiered in February at Atelier Richelieu in the center of Paris with a select fabrics choice of around 75 exhibitors.
The upcoming event will present an expanded offer compared to the previous edition, with a wider selection of finished products from Apparel Sourcing and fabrics from Texworld exhibitors to present the fall-winter 2022 season.

As in February, buyers will be welcome upon invitation in order to ensure an adequate flow of attendees. From the moment they arrive at the showroom, they will be provided with a digital tool specifically developed to facilitate direct contact with manufacturers.
The showroom edition complements the digital sourcing platform on the web developed by trade show organizer Messe Frankfurt France with its partner Foursource.
Functional Fabric Fair New York is canceled
The July edition of Functional Fabric Fair powered by Performance Days is canceled for 2021. This has been announced by trade show organizer Reed Exhibitions.
The fabric sourcing trade event was originally scheduled for July 19-20, at the Javits Center in New York City.
The fall event slated for October 27-28 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon is expected to take place as panned.
“After careful consideration and review of the ongoing pandemic, we have decided to cancel the summer event in New York and will set our focus on Portland in October. We feel this is our best option in order to ensure a safe and successful return to in person events,” said Steve McCullough, Functional Fabric Fair’s event director.
Functional Fabric Fair recently announced its expanded partnership with Performance Days through the development of The Loop, a year-round, digital sourcing platform that aims to connect companies in the performance fabric sector. The platform will also host a weeklong digital fair that will be co-presented by the US and Munich-based organizers on May 17-21.
