Under the name Val:ue, Messe Frankfurt is launching a new trade event for the fashion mainstream segment, which is to take place parallel to the core events as part of Frankfurt Fashion Week from 18-20 January 2022.
Back in Berlin’s trade fair days, Panorama had once served the mainstream segment. Since its demise, the field had not been explicitly occupied by any organizer.
According to Messe Frankfurt, with Val:ue, “new looks and groundbreaking trends for the coming season from the segments of women’s and men’s clothing, shoes, leather goods, accessories and lifestyle” are to be represented, with the focus on companies with great brand awareness and a good distribution network that position themselves as drivers of innovation in retail.
In addition, Val:ue is to be supplemented by the pre-stage topic of Apparel Sourcing in Fashion. In this area, established as well as emerging players will show turnkey solutions for all participants of the fashion market–including white labels and private labels.
Last but not least, the new event will comprehensively address the topic of sustainability: Val:ue supports the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations. The SDGs will already be addressed at the inaugural event and will become a binding condition of participation for all participating companies from 2023.
“With Val:ue, we are creating a new, central spot within Frankfurt Fashion Week for the big players in the fashion world. In the future, firmly established retail brands from the Quality Mainstream segment will gather here. We will experience first-class presentations of collection highlights and provide answers to the pressing challenges in the current transformation process of the industry. Val:ue thus adds another market segment to Frankfurt Fashion Week and ensures that the complete fashion spectrum is covered,” says Claudia Franz, Director Brand Management Apparel Fabrics & Fashion at Messe Frankfurt.
