3 min read

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son Archie turned one just last month, and according to Us Weekly, he’s officially talking now. A source told the outlet that Archie’s vocabulary is of course limited but very cute. “He’s saying a few words, like ‘Dada,’ ‘Mama,’ ‘book,’ and ‘dog,’” the source said. Additionally, “he loves playing hide-and-seek and using building blocks.”

Us got an insider to give them more intel about how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly spend their time off-hours when they aren’t playing with Archie. The couple “enjoy binge-watching Netflix, playing Scrabble, and cooking,” according to the outlet’s source.

The Duke and Duchess have been living in Los Angeles, where they’ve been in quarantine with their son during the coronavirus pandemic.

At the beginning of May, a source told that Archie is also holding onto the furniture and “now starting to walk.” A friend of the Duke and Duchess additionally said that since stepping back from their royal family roles and settling into their new life, Meghan and Harry are “happier and more relaxed.”

The two remain focused on the launch of their upcoming non-profit Archewell and on being involved in supporting coronavirus relief efforts and the Black Lives Matter movement.

Earlier this week, Meghan gave a commencement speech to the graduates of the Los Angeles high school she attended, Immaculate Heart. Meghan urged the grads to be involved.

“I know that this is not the graduation that you envisioned,” she said. “And this is not the celebration that you imagined. But I also know that there’s a way to reframe this for you and not see this as the end of something but instead to see this as the beginning of you harnessing all of the work, all of the values, all of the skills you have embodied over the last four years and now you channel that. Now all of that work gets activated. Now you get to be part of rebuilding. And I know sometimes people say how many times do we need to rebuild? Well, you know, we are going to rebuild and rebuild and rebuild until it is rebuilt. Because when the foundation is broken, so are we.”

“You are going to lead with love, you are going to lead with compassion, you are going to use your voice,” she continued. “You are going to use your voice in a stronger way than you’ve ever been able to because most of you are 18 or you’re going to turn 18 so you’re going to vote. You are going to have empathy for those who don’t see the world through the same lens that you do because with as diverse, vibrant and opened minded as I know the teachings are at Immaculate Heart are, I know you know that Black lives matters. So I’m already excited for what you’re going to do in the world.”
