May Beauty Finds – Gal Meets Glam

As we anticipate the arrival of summer, I’m focusing on taking care of my skin each day and creating a healthy glow. My two secrets for a glowing complexion? A serum and a well-absorbing facial oil that repair and hydrate without leaving any oily residue. Sunblock is an important part of my skincare routine year-round, but I still love a sun-kissed look this time of year. To achieve one, I simply add a bit of liquid highlighter to my foundation and finish my routine with a light touch of bronzing powder, applied in just the right places (anywhere the sun naturally hits my face). I’ve been using Maya Chia’s The Straight A in the evening and it has made a huge difference. This clean and gentle retinol reduces the appearance of fine lines and brightens my skin. I apply a thin layer after cleansing and follow it with my facial oil.

This Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil from Biossance has been one of my beauty staples for over a year. I love the way it absorbs quickly and makes my skin feel healthy and moisturized.

I mix a bit of this Liquid Light by Ilia into my foundation to add a fresh, dewy glow to my everyday makeup look. When I’m opting for full makeup, I also add a bit to my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, and my cupid’s bow for a touch of shimmer.
