Alongside organic cotton, the new Kings Of Indigo collection fronts natural fibers hemp and linen. These materials are grown without the use of any pesticides and chemicals and they’re fully biodegradable. Hemp is known for its regenerative qualities, it actually provides the earth valuable nutrients while growing, allowing for more sustainable crop growth. Alongside linen, it takes hardly any water to grow, and both materials are known for their strength and durability.
Together with fully recycled materials, Kings Of Indigo also presents its 100% recycled denims. 37% of the s/s ’22 apparel collection is made with 100% recycled materials. As for its denim, Kings Of Indigo states that it offers a quality level which matches non-recycled denim in durability and quality. By recycling leftover fabric (20%) and yarn waste (80%), today the label maintains the strength of the material so these garments “can last a lifetime.”
Furthermore, to push transparency, the label works with Retraced transparency technology to provide the actual proof of its planet friendly efforts. This “technology puts an end to greenwashing,” Kings Of Indigo claims. By scanning the QR code on its hangtags Retraced technology maps out Kings Of Indigo’s full supply-chain, from cotton to closet.
